Malfunctioning Berkeley Tunnel Door Slows BART’s East Bay Commute


BERKELEY (CBS SF) — BART work crews scrambled Monday morning to restore at door within the Berkeley Tunnel that has induced main delays within the commute from Walnut Creek, Harmony and different East Bay communities.

The Berkeley Tunnel runs close to the Caldecott Tunnel and connects East Bay communities with stops in Oakland and San Francisco. At 6:25 a.m., transit officers mentioned they’ve begun turning some trains again at Orinda and Lafayette to cut back delays on the road.
